Imagine that you write confidently at work.

Your emails? Crystal clear.

Your Slack messages? Pitch perfect.

Reports, memos, social posts? More flow than André 3000.

You don’t stress, rely on AI, or waste unnecessary hours on the writing process.

You can learn to write like that.

Even if you don’t consider yourself a good writer. Or you’re second-guessing every third word you type.

It starts with studying the essentials: Grammar rules. Style guidelines. Storytelling devices. Time-saving processes. These are the tools you need to succeed and feel secure as a writer.

While self-study and formal education can get you there, it isn’t always easy (or fun) to stay focused these days. But there’s a faster, more interesting path to writing mastery that I designed just for busy professionals.

Business writing coaching with Steph Spector

My name is Steph.

And since 2016, I’ve been working with people who, once and for all, want to learn to write with confidence.

In Austin, Texas, or over video, I offer coaching that equips you with writing strategies you can use immediately, in a low-pressure, conversational style.

As one student of mine put it, it’s “like learning from a best friend.”

No snoozefest lessons

Yes, I talk to you like a human being

No drills that remind you of that middle-school English class you hated

Yes, we talk about writing in fun ways (so what you’re learning sticks)

Yes, I share tools, exercises, and resources tailored to your goals

Maybe you write a lot for your job, or for a business you own. Or you just feel like you’ve developed a problematic reliance on AI tools.

Whatever the case, I can show you how to write for yourself and achieve maximum impact with your words. Without boring you to death.

So, what’s my story?

I’m no MBA. Not an award-winning journalist, either. I just love writing. Since forever, my curiosity has driven me to pick sentences apart and figure out which ones are exceptional, and why.

That curiosity opened some dream-project doors for me:

I delivered 2,500+ hours of coaching to folks at Google, the New York Times, the ASPCA, Wells Fargo, and other leading companies—one-on-one and to groups in the hundreds

I led executive writing workshops for Apple sales leaders who write for Tim Cook—with 100% of participants reporting stronger skills

I’ve edited 2+ million words for Apple, Zapier, and I Will Teach You To Be Rich, as well as creative writers and leaders across industries, from CEOs to Hollywood producers

I’m a faculty member at Gotham Writers Workshop, where a class I wrote, Grammar 2: Expertise and Finesse, consistently sells out and has earned 200+ five-star reviews

Let’s bring more peace and productivity to your writing process.

Here’s what’ll happen when you reach out to me:

1.

We get on a call.

Over the phone or by video, we talk about what you write, who your target audience is, how you feel about your writing now, how you want to feel, and any questions you have for me.

2.

I review your work.

To identify what you’re already strong at and opportunities you have for growth, I read 2-3 of your writing samples. Can’t freely share your work? I can sign an NDA or give you a brief writing exercise. (Nothing soul-crushing, I swear.)

3.

We form a game plan.

Based on the consult and review, I design a coaching program addressing your specific goals.

4.

The coaching begins!
